Capture the Sit

Use this if your dog already sits on their own fairly often.

  1. 1Watch for your dog to sit naturally.
  2. 2Mark and reward the sit.
  3. 3When your dog begins offering the sit predictably, say "sit" immediately before they sit, then mark and reward.
  4. 4Reward your dog several times while they remain seated, then use a release cue to end the behavior.

Reward while your dog is still seated, fade the lure, then release.
