Capture Natural Behaviors

Use this when your dog naturally does something you'd like to see more often.

  1. 1Watch for a behavior your dog offers naturally.
  2. 2Mark the moment it happens with "yes."
  3. 3Reward right away, even if you didn't ask for the behavior.
  4. 4Repeat over time so the behavior happens more often.
  5. 5Once the behavior is reliable, add a cue just before your dog does it.
