Add Distance with Find It to Hand Touch

Use this once your dog reliably touches your hand and holds a collar touch at close range.

  1. 1Warm up with a few hand touches without touching the collar.
  2. 2Mark and touch the collar occasionally while feeding, without doing it every rep.
  3. 3Toss food a short distance (about 3 feet) away and say "find it."
  4. 4As soon as your dog finishes eating, call their name and present your hand target.
  5. 5Mark and reward when they touch your hand, then toss again and repeat 5 to 10 times.

The Find It game creates distance for the next recall repetition.
